Liaoning-EFACEC Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. is a Sino-Portuguese joint venture which specializes in the production of high voltage and extra high voltage power transformers, mobile substations and Foreign Contracted Projects (Engineering Procurement and Construction [EPC] Projects). LEEEC was established in October 1994, it was declared to go into operation by Portuguese President Mr. Jorge Sampaio and Liaoning Governor Mr. Wen Shizheng at the opening ceremony in March 1997. It was invested by 3 shareholders including Liaoyang Yifa Investments Limited, EFACEC Empresa Fabril De Maquinas Electricas, S. A. In Portugal and ATAL Hong Kong. With registered capital of 31.29 million U. S. Dollars and total assets of 950 million RMB. The area of land occupied by the factory is 64, 000 square meters. So far, the company has 650 employees.
