Tianjin Design & Research Institute of Electric Drive(TRIED for Short), directly under the former Ministry of Machine Building Industry, is the principle research base for electric drive and -autoation, low voltage distribution equipment and complete set of equipment for small-and medium sized hydropower station. TRIED was established in 1954, has1200 employees, of which 680are engineers &technicians and 21are experts on national level or minstry level. TRIED covers an area of 120000m2. With a strong technical staff and comprehensive research &test facilities as well as workshop for the development of new products, TRIED not only carries out scientific research and ofers advanced system design, but also contracts provides complete sets of electric control equipment from its workshop. The electric equipment designed and produced by TRIED is well known at home and abroad for its advanced technology, reliable design and quality.
