The former is No. 7th research department in Luoyang Ship Material Research Institute, which is the subsidiary of Chinese Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC). Luoyang Ship Material Research Institute is the only ship material research institute in China. It was founded in 1961 in Beijing.
