Shanghai STEP Electric Corporation was established in 1995 by Mr JI DEFA, who is an elevator engineer. Through many years R&D and hard work, STEP now has more than 500 employees. We have successfully passed the ISO9001: 2000 Certification, the CE Certification, the German EN-81 Certification, the CSA Certification, China CCC and the ISO14000 Certification. These important and necessary certifications make STEP better prepared to develop domestic market and to go globally.

In June 2003, STEP set up a Joint-Venture with ANTON Sigriner Industrie Elektronik GmbH called "STEP Sigriner Elektronik GmbH" in Germany. The over 20-year experiences in manufacturing elevator control system of ANTON Sigriner make STEP be able to offer much better service to European market. Since then, the R&D department of STEP Sigriner has developed, Intelligent Elevator Shaft Information Sensor, Economic Hydraulic Controller, MRL Control System, and DCVV Control Panel for modernization, etc. And by far, these products have been installed not only in Germany, but also in Austria, England, Denmark, Ireland, Turkey and Russia, etc.
Up to now, not only we have offices or branches in most provinces in China, bus also we have branches or angencies in HongKong, Germany, etc, which has become an important part of our Globalization Strategy. And our quality products have been serving the people in many different parts of the world, like, Germany, Briton, Switzerland, Danmark, Scotland, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, Turkey, India, South Korea, Hongkong and Taiwan, etc.
