The SS-TCPS communication serial server connects any async serial devices through LAN and LAN's via routers. It provides bidirectional transparent data transmission from the serial port to TCP/IP network. It transparently transmits the data received from the serial port to the data server on the network; The data from the server is transparently delivered to the serial port via the module.

The SS-TCPS seial server provides 100M/10M Ethernet interface upwards, and 1 or 2 RS232/RS485/RS422 serial ports with Baud rate of 1.2kbps~1.8432Mbps.
The SS-TCPS seial server works in various network conditions. The parameters of the network and the serial port can be configured by a TCPManager program running in Windows, or by users program.

SS-TCPS supports 4 operating modes:
• UDP (UDP mode)
It provides connectionless UDP communication;
• TCP server (TCP server mode)
The module monitors connection request at the designated serial port.
• TCP Client (TCP Client mode)
It initiatively requests connection when powered on.
• Virtual (virtual serial mode)
It operates the serial port managing software and produces virtual serial port through which the communication with the serial port device is conducted, as simple and convenient as operating the commom serial port.
Exchanging data with SS-TCPS by means:
• Re-orienting the network data to the virtual serial port through the serial port managing software and reading the data from the virtual serial port, or
• Directedly using Socket to program.
