TENGCHONG SANYOND STONE Co., Ltd was founded in 2002, located in Tengchong county, Baoshan, Yunnan provice, China, which is specialized in producing natural stone materials.

Now we are own three factories in Tengchong. The covering area of these three factories is up to 40000 square meters. We have more than 50 sets of natural stone processing machines and equipments such as Gangsaws, CNC Bridge Cutting Machines, Stone Polishing Machines and other machines & equipments. Currently, we have more than 100 employees working for us. These three factories have been always mainly focusing on exploiting and processing our local special stones, such as vacuolar basalt (lava stone), sandstone, marble, and slate.

Two of our factories are mainly focusing on processing products of vacuolar basalt (lava stone), pumice stone and other volcanic-related products. In the field of volcanic-related products, we produce paving, walling, landscaping and carving products. The third factory is specialized in producing products of slate, imported Myanmar marble and the other natural stone products. Now we are not only one of the leading volcanic-related stone (lava stone & basalt) manufacturers in Yunnan, we are also one of the biggest vacuolar basalt (lava stone) quarry owner in Yunnan. Along with the rapid development of the company, SANYOND has expanded to become a well-known stone manufacturer, especially in field of vacuolar basalt (lava stone).

In the past years, we have been mainly focusing on the domestic market. Our clients include professional stone distribitors, building contractors and the Real-estate developers. Our important clients includes Vanke, Longfor, Agile and some other China famous real estate developers. In recent years, we are trying to develop the overseas markets. Tengchong volcanic district, located in southern China near the border with Burma (Myanmar), was active during five periods ranging from the early Pliocene to the Holocene. Three main stages produced Pliocene to MID-Pleistocene basaltic rocks, MID- to late-Pleistocene silicic pyroclastic rocks, and Holocene basaltic andesites. The youngest volcanism in the 600 sq km volcanic field occurred in two stages during the early and late Holocene. Volcanic cones at the northern end of the field are sparsely vegetated and have clearly visible lava flows. Three basaltic-andesite centers, Dayinshan, Maanshan, and possibly Heikongshan, are of Holocene age. An unconfirmed explosive eruption took place in 1609, and there are unconfirmed reports of eruptions in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The Tengchong district is the site of active geothermal fields, the largest and highest temperature of which is the Rehai geothermal field. More than 20 hydrothermal eruptions have occurred at the Rehai geothermal field since 1993.

However, Tengcong vacuolar basalt (lava stone) has its own exclusive features, which include but not limit to:

1) color varies widely from reddish, light grey, deep grey, charcoal black, especially the deep grey and charcoal black colored vacuolar basalt (lava stone) are only found in Yunnan;

2) the vacuole size and shape differs from which are sourced from Northeast and Hainan, thus the appearance of Yunnan vacuolar basalt (lava stone) is completely different from the other two regions';

3) the estimated potential reserves are of 4.5 million m3, at an annual production rate of 10000 m3, the quarry life would be of 450 years, which means that vacuolar basalt (lava stone) reserves in Yunnan are unlimited. Generally speaking, the vacuolar basalt (lava stone) resource of Yunnan is quite unique and to be considered by some stone tenders as a new stone product.
