Saxony-Anhalts successful image campaign "We start our days earlier", designed to entice new investors, entered a new round in September 2007. A Germany-wide advertisement campaign and giant-size posters in major German business centres will draw attention to Saxony-Anhalts location advantages and successes in key technologies.
Central mission of this campaign is to address potential investors directly. The nationwide and international PR effort will raise the awareness of Saxony-Anhalts location advantages among decision-maker. "We are aiming to enhance positioning of Saxony-Anhalt in the competition among European regions and thus show that starting our days earlier translates into economic success", said Minister of Economy Dr. Reiner Haseloff when opening the second phase.
Renowned top managers will promote the location advantages of Saxony-Anhalt, i. E. The word is given to those who epitomise innovative power and economic dynamism in our federal state. One element of this campaign is a scholarship contest to attract to, or keep junior engineers in Saxony-Anhalt.
The location and image campaign is supported by the European Union
Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (IMG) was commissioned to perform project management of the location and image campaign in 2005. EUR 2 million have been earmarked for the current phase of the campaign, 75 % of funds are provided by the European Structural Funds (ESF) and 25 % by Saxony-Anhalt.
By supporting "We start our days earlier, the EU intends to further enhance the level of awareness of Saxony-Anhalt among the target group private economy and generate new business establishments.
Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt mbH (IMG) is the business location and marketing agency of Saxony-Anhalt. IMG staff provide all services related to new business siting. In addition, we are marketing Saxony-Anhalt both nationally and internationally and developing tourism concepts.
Since 1996, the IMG Business Location Team has contributed to creating and safeguarding more than 14, 000 jobs and realising of investments in excess of EUR 3 billion.
The Location Marketing Team started a supra-regionally acclaimed PR campaign "We start our days earlier! " in 2005. The Tourism Team has developed prestigious brand pillars since 2000, including "Road of Romanesque", "Blue Ribbon" and "Garden Dreams".
