Founded in 1993, Macat Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. is a key enterprise under the direct control of Macat Group Co., Ltd. With total investment of 50 million yuan and factory area of 10,000 sq.m, the company is staffed with more than 1,000 employees and of which, 90 are engineering technical personnel. With the rapid development of IT, the competition of telephone set becomes tenser and tenser and it is urgent for the company to develop the hi-tech communication products. After years' hard work and utmost efforts, the company has achieved a lot and the most important include the charging-centralized public telephone system (online access system of public telephone), and the one-plus-four cordless telephone with 20-channel dialing party display. The CPU for the above two products were researched and developed independently by the company, which is of great value in terms of scientific research. Its third import product is the Macat facsimile machine, developed with a Taiwan enterprise (at present, there are three models for such facsimile machine to be presented in markets, particularly the facsimile machine with cordless headphone which is the first ever created in China, enjoying favorable prospect of marketing). And its forth important product is its ADSL and other technical product with network wideband access. All its newly developed products will be presented in 2001.
