Laixi calabash is one of the origin place of China calabash. We started to carve the gourd from ming dynasty, it is about 400 years from then. The raw material includes big calabash, big yaya, oblate gourd. There is about five types of calabash: Painted calabash, pyrograph calabash, , surface carved calabash, carved calabash, red calabash. In every period laxi calabash is always famous for his unique art feature, and are loved by people. It is very popular in qing dynasty.

Daou birdcage is also the qingdao special local product...It is also from ming dynasty, has a history about five hundreds years. Daou birdcage was once in the royal palace as a tribute.

We will choose good bamboo and platane wood. After finishing the frame, we will boil them in the pot. So the daou birdcage sturdy and durable, with no suncrack and deformation.
