Fong's Industries Co., Ltd. (“Fong's Industries”) is listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. It operates as a group of companies; the principal business is manufacturing and sale of textile dyeing and finishing machinery. It employs some 3,700 people, is serving over 4,000 customers around the world and the annual production is over 2,000 sets of dyeing and finishing equipment at its own production plant with site area approximately 110,000 m2 in Shenzhen, China.

Fong's National Engineering Co., Ltd. and Fong's National Engineering (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. are the Group's flagship companies, specialising in design and manufacturing of dyeing and finishing machinery. It is the market leader for dyeing and finishing equipment in China and has a growing market share in other regions of the world.

The Germany based THEN Maschinen GmbH is pursuing production and product development activities, technical services and sale and marketing such as the THEN AIRFLOW® technology with its very low liquor ratio.

The Group also acquired all intellectual property rights of the insolvent Scholl-Then AG and Scholl Switzerland AG. The Group plans to rationalise Scholl's product range and will continue the manufacturing of selected products in Schwäbish Hall, Germany for the sale and technical services worldwide under THEN's product category.

Monforts Fong's Textile Machinery Company Limited is a joint venture with A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co., a leading German textile machinery manufacturer. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Monforts Fong's Textile Machinery (Shenzhen) Company Limited, the company is specializing in producing and sale of dryers and stenters for customers in mainland China.

Fong's subsidiary, Xorella ( Hong Kong ) Limited wholly owns the Swiss Xorella AG. Xorella is specialised in design and manufacturing of the patented steam setting and conditioning equipment which leads to an increased productivity in the fabric formation process and eventually to an improved quality of the fabrics applied to the garments.

To match its diversification strategy, the Group set up Fong's Steels Supplies Co., Ltd. and Tycon Alloy Industries (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and Tycon Alloy Industries (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. Fong's Steels has established a strong distribution network for sale of stainless steel products in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. It also has provided synergy for the Group's manufacturing business by supplying full range of reliable raw materials. Tycon specialises in the production of metal castings and providing related technical services to the Group and to customers all over the world.

Fong's Industries is determined to pursue its mission to focus on research and development. More than 100 engineers are working in Research and Development. The R & D department uses advanced software design tools such as 3-D simulation; finite element analysis, computational flow and heat transfer analysis, static and dynamic structural analysis. It also applies specialised pressure vessel analysis and appraisal packages to enhance the product design process and technological development. This leads to new competitive products and will maintain its leading position in the global textile industry.
