Established in November, 2002, Beijing Holley-Cotec Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd evolved from Cotecxin Technology Co. Ltd, an innovative high-tech enterprise subordinated to Beijing Science and Technology Committee and registered in the then Beijing Experimental Development Park for High-tech Industry. In the past 11 years, Holley-Cotec has always been committed to the international, especially the African, pharmaceutical market. In 1993 Cotec started from the vigorous marketing of its innovative antimalarial medicine Dihydroartemisinin (Name: Cotecxin) in almost 50 countries covers Africa, South-east Asia and Latin America. Nowadays it is officially approved in nearly 20 African countries, with its sales soaring year by year. After years of development, the corporation has come to be larger and more competitive as a whole, with an expanded share of market and a broader line of products.

After positioning itself as the Expert on Tropical Disease in 1998, it has done such important work as carrying out the research, development and introduction of new products, and establishing strategic partnerships, etc. Oriented towards market demands, it introduces into the world market products with high-technology content and advanced health concept. These products include biological products such as hepatitis B vaccine, DTaP vaccine and HIV test kit, and such medical instrument as disposable auto-disable syringe.

With the passage of time, the company has gone through the process of constantly opening up new markets, increasing product ranges, expanding business scale and improving its overall competitiveness. As it has been restructured, Holley-Cotec is now a stockholding subsidiary of the Chongqin Holley-Cotec Holdings Limited. The company now has 55 employees. Among them, 43 are tertiary diploma holders and 12 are secondary diploma holders. There are altogether 30 technicians, accounting for 54.55% of the total.
