Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction is the first shipbuilding company in Korea, established in 1937 at Youngdo, Pusan. As the cradle of Korean mechanical industry, we were the first in Korea to manufacture lathes, in 1962. We were also the pioneers of modern construction in Korea, building the first steel-framed building in Korea in 1968; A series of milestones were established along the way.
