Tongyu Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise engaged in research, design, production, marketing and service of mobile communication antennas. It was founded in 1996 and located at the Torch High-Tech Development Zone in Zhongshan City.

Zhongshan city is located at the center of Pearl Delta with Guangzhou in the North, Shenzhen in the East, Hongkong and Macau in the South. It has very convenient land and sea transportation and air freight.

Tongyu Communication now has 100 research and development engineers, exports and professors who are forming strong alliance with Xi'an Xidian University, Guilin University of Electronic Technology, and Spaceflight 504 Institute to develop and design products.

In the earlier of 2002, being the only representative company among all base station antenna manufacturers in China, Tongyu attended YD/T1059-2004<Technology Qualification of Base Station Antenna for Mobile Communication> checkup meeting organized by the Information Industry of China. In the meeting, lots of suggestions put forward by Tongyu were adopted.

The main products include 450MHz, 800MHz CDMA base station antennas, 900MHz antenna series, 806-960MHz bandwidth antenna series, Dual-band dual-polarized antennas, 1800 MHz base station antennas, 1900MHz base station antennas, PHS antennas, WCDMA/CDMA2000 antenna series, 1710-2170MHz multi band antenna series, TD-SCDMA/SCDMA smart antenna array, 2.4/3.5/5.8G antenna series, indoor antennas and repeater antenna series, environmental decoration antennas and microwave components, Etc.

Tongyu Communication now has 20 antenna production lines with annual production capacity of base station antennas 200, 000 pcs, TD-SCDMA Antenna Array 60, 000 pcs, PHS antennas and indoor antennas1, 500, 000 pcs. terminal antennas 2, 000, 000 pcs, Tongyu possesses advanced antenna testing equipment and excellent testing condition. The company has several imported vector network analyzers, anechoic chambers, automatic antenna testing field, original Summitek passive intermodulation analyzers, temperature testing equipment, humidity testing equipment, salty fog testing equipment, rainfall testing equipment, and drop and vibration testing equipment to conduct reliability test. In the 2005, Tongyu invested 5 million RMB, equal to 620, 000 USD, on a super size anechoic chamber which is 11 meters high, 11 meters wide, and 50 meters long. The anechoic chamber has already been put in operation.

Tongyu has been paying attention to quality management all the years since the establishment and have established complete quality assurance system. Tongyu has passed both ISO9001: 2000 and ISO 14001: 1996 attestation.

Being recognized by the Guangdong Science and Technology Bureau as a high-tech enterprise, the products manufactured by Tongyu own the independent and self-developed intellectual property rights. Till now, Tongyu has owned over ten patent technologies on base station antennas. The TD-SCDMA mobile communication antenna array for 3G, which Tongyu is charge of developing and researching, gained Silver Award in the Hongkong International Invention Exhibition in 2000, was listed as a national torch program project in 2001, and gained a first class award for science and technology advancement in Zhongshan city. The project also got strong support from National Development and Reform Committee, National Science and Technology Ministry, Guangdong Municipal Government, and Zhongshan Municipal Government. In 2005, Tongyu joined the TD-SCDMA alliance.
