Founded in December 2004, Wanli Tire Co., Ltd (referred to as "Wanli Tire") is a second-tier subsidiary directly under Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group Co., Ltd. It is a specialized tire manufacturer that integrates R&D, production, sales, and services. Its predecessor, South China Rubber Tire Co., Ltd., was founded in 1988 and was one of the pioneers in China's tire industry. In 1990, it became the first Chinese company to introduce the complete set of radial tire technology from Firestone (USA).

The company is located at No. 3 Wanli Road, Aotou Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, with a total area of 1, 120 mu (approx. 747, 000 m² ). It operates one central R&D institute and two branch R&D institutes (Conghua and Hefei), and has three major production bases located in Conghua, Hefei, and Cambodia (the Cambodian facility is under construction). Wanli Tire currently has an annual production capacity of 30 million units of passenger car radial (PCR) tires and 3.2 million units of truck and bus radial (TBR) tires, with a workforce of approximately 5, 000 employees.

Wanli Tire holds multiple national-level certifications and platforms, including the National Enterprise Technology Center, High-Tech Enterprise status, a CNAS-accredited national laboratory, the only tire-industry laboratory officially contracted by the China Rubber Industry Association, a postdoctoral research workstation. It has passed internationally recognized certifications such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems, ISO 14001 environmental management system, and GB/T 29490 intellectual property management system. In 2024, the company was named as a "State-Owned Scientific and Technological Reform Demonstration Enterprise". As of 2025, Wanli ranked 18th in the China Tire Enterprises Ranking and 41st in the global Top 75 Tire Manufacturers list.

Wanli Tire has developed its proprietary "LEADing" product development platform, which is supported by independent intellectual property rights. The platform has been digitalized, automated, made intelligent, and fully integrated. Meanwhile, Wanli Tire has a professional rubber tire R&D team, introduces senior tire technology experts from South Korea, and cooperates with the top R&D institutions in China, and owns a series of international advanced R&D facilities and means, and has a full range of simulation, analysis capabilities and rubber tire products trial production and testing capabilities. The product R&D capability of Wanli Tire is at the leading position in China, and it has pioneered more than 30 national firsts in independent tire technology, including China's first V, W, Y speed-rated high-performance tires, the first large-size high-performance tires ranging from 17-30 inches, the first Run-flat tires, the first super-wide tires, the first rail walking wheels, etc.
