Moldova is located at the border of the Eurasian continent and serves as a bridge and window connecting the two major political and economic blocs of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the European Union. Moldova's relationship with China has a long history, based on mutual respect, openness, and consensus. Developing relations with China has always been a priority for Moldova. The potential for cooperation between the two countries is enormous, especially with China's rapid economic growth. China is a very important market for Moldova.

The Moldovan Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established with the support of the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and relevant government departments. Currently, it is the only legally registered and operated chamber of commerce organization that promotes economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchange between China and Moldova. In 2024, the Moldovan Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to organize Moldovan enterprises to participate in relevant exhibitions in China. During his stay in China, Mr. BORIS FOCA, Chairman of the Moldovan China Chamber of Commerce, and the head of the Exhibition Department will plan to visit relevant government and business departments and industry chambers of commerce, hoping to promote economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between Moldova and China, especially with Guangdong Province.

. Moldova and China have broad cooperation opportunities in fields such as agricultural products, wine, agricultural infrastructure, renewable energy, and information technology. At the same time, Moldova has strategic advantages in geographical location, which can become a favorable "business and investment incubator" on the "the Belt and Road", and also a "transit place" for Chinese goods to be sold to the EU market. For Moldova, through the "the Belt and Road" initiative and cooperation with China, it can improve its domestic railway transport, improve the quality of existing public roads, build new roads, and achieve connectivity with major economies in the world and the EU market. Moldova will also be an important opportunity market for Chinese companies to participate in Ukraine's post-war reconstruction. We will discuss these areas of economic and trade cooperation that involve both countries in this meeting.
