Bonso Electronics Ltd was established in 1980 in Hong Kong. Its parent company, Bonso Electronics International Inc., has been publicly listed at NASDAQ, US since 1989 (symbol: BNSO). Our head office and the factory are located in Shenzhen (Guangdong Province, China) with a total floor area of 600, 000 sq ft and a total workforce over 2500 including staff and workers.

Bonso designs and manufactures sensor based scales as well as telecommunications products on both OEM/ODM basis. We design, develop, manufacture and assembly a broadest line of telecommunications, electronic scales, weighing instruments and health care products including two-way radios, cordless phones, bathroom scales, body fat scales, kitchen scales, postal scales, laboratory scales, pocket scales and industrial scales that are used in consumer, commercial and industrial applications for the global markets.

Bonso's factory is fully vertical integrated with all self-contained facilities including load cell assembly, SMT, wire bonding, mold making, plastic injection, metal stamping, spray painting, silk-screening, dust-free production room, final assembly, quality control and logistics etc. Also, Bonso has invested extensively on advanced production equipment like auto-production line, equipment and testing fixtures which enable highest level of accuracy, consistency and efficiency.

Our commitment to quality has been recognized through International ISO9001 accreditation since 1995. In foreseeing the future market growth opportunity on medical scales and relevant product, we have acquired ISO13485 in Jan 2010, which enable our manufacturing expansion into medical devices.

Besides, Bonso has put enormous efforts on improving ecology. We have gained the international certification for environment compliance ISO 14001 as well as worker safety OHSAS 18001 since 2006.

Our highly capable R & D and manufacturing team is well experienced in handling new product design, prototyping, manufacturing set-up, most economic component sourcing, total quality management and just-in-time delivery to meet our customers' requirements in top standard.

In order to cope with the increasing demand from customers, we are currently building a new manufacturing complex at Xinxing (Guangdong Province, China), within a 3 hour driving distance from our existing factory in Shenzhen. The factory land at Xinxing is more than 3 times larger than the existing land at Shenzhen. The new factory will allow us to lower the labor costs and manufacturing overhead, and the construction is expected to finish in 2012.
