There can hardly be a sector or industry where wire meshes are not used in one form or another. In some cases visibly, e. g. as decorative mesh, or for sorting sand, gravel and ores, for which spring-steel mesh is ideally suited. In other cases fine wire cloth made of stainless steel can be used in filter systems, e. g. in laboratories and the plastics industry. Filter mesh is used a good deal in the chemical industry, and for cleaning drilling muds.
