Xuyi Botu is the first one to apply attapulgite into the field of desiccant and the first one to apply the attapulgite desiccant into the field of the insulating glass. Furthermore, Xuyi Botu is the only enterprise of attapulgite industry to take part in to draw up "Industrial Standard of Desiccant for Insulating Glass" and "Material Platform". Botu desiccant for insulating glass is the only attapulgite desiccant to pass the test of European Standard. Xuyi Botu is the only enterprise in China to have Attapulgite Clay Engineering and Technical Research Center. In July 2002, Xuyi Botu Company established Jiangsu Province Attapulgite Clay Engineering and Technical Research Center with the technical support of Nanjing University and Jiangsu Provincial Research Academy of Geologic Survey. The center has a technical committee which is composed of 9 national exports, professors and researchers in the field of attapulgite. The center has a senior technical staff of 19 people, such as doctors, masters, advanced engineer and so on. The center has built the medium test workshop, laboratories and building the scientific researches. It is the only medium test base geared to the scientific research of attapulgite clay. Botu desiccant for insulating glass has been rewarded as "National Spark Project" and "National torch Project".
