The French MANITOU Group was founded by Mr. Marcel Braud in 1958 and is headquartered in Ancenis on the Loire River in Nantes, France. After more than 50 years of development, the MANITOU Group's business has spread across all continents of the world, with 600 sales points and 23 sales branches in 120 countries, including 9 factories in France, Italy, China and the United States, with a total of about 2, 500 employees. MANITOU focuses on sustainable development and maintains good operating performance. In 2009, net sales reached 1.3 billion euros.

For 50 years, MANITOU has produced various types of high-quality off-road vehicles for the company to win a high market reputation and customer recognition. In 2004, MANITOU's market leadership was once again consolidated. MANITOU successfully sold more than 200, 000 forklifts worldwide. This is an unprecedented milestone. It took MANITOU 34 years to sell 100, 000 forklifts, but it took only 12 years to achieve the goal of selling 200, 000.

In 1993, MANITOU Asia Pacific was established in Singapore. It is the regional center for sales, after-sales, parts supply and technical support in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2008, MANITOU officially entered the Chinese market. Shanghai Maili Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. Was established in the same year, providing a full range of aerial work platforms, telescopic arm forklifts, off-road forklifts, industrial forklifts and other logistics equipment and aerial work equipment widely used in manufacturing, agriculture and construction.

Maili Machinery's mission is to ensure the safety, efficiency and economy of customers' material handling and aerial work through the equipment and services we provide. Maili Machinery provides customers with full life service for equipment, including solution selection, equipment delivery, maintenance training, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, parts supply, old car recycling, short-term rental, long-term rental, etc. Under the management system framework of HSE (Health Safety Environment), our work goal is to work with customers to improve equipment efficiency and reduce the full life cost of equipment.

Meaning of the name

MACLIFT, MAC means grand, and the three letters represent the customer groups we serve. M stands for Manufacturing, A stands for Agriculture, C stands for Construction, and LIFT means lifting. We hope that through our hard work (MacLI), our equipment and services can help customers in the manufacturing, agricultural and construction industries to lift materials and personnel safely, efficiently and economically.
