Beijing International Trade Company, formerly a Beijing company of China national technology import and Export Corporation, was established with the approval of the Ministry of Commerce (formerly the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation) and the Beijing Municipal Government in October 1984. It specializes in technology introduction, complete sets of equipment, high-tech commodities and import and export trade of bulk raw materials. In 1992, it was renamed Beijing International Trade Company. Beijing International Trade Corporation is a state-owned enterprise mainly engaged in import and export trade, bidding agency, project management and consulting services. In the early 1980s, the company began to undertake the technology introduction and complete equipment import and export trade of the state and Beijing; In 1986, it began to undertake foreign procurement of foreign government loan projects and grant projects; In 1990, it began to undertake international bidding and external procurement of projects financed by international financial organizations such as the world bank and the Asian Development Bank; In 2002, it began to undertake the bidding of government procurement agency; In 2003, it began to undertake agency bidding for engineering projects
