Based in Qingdao, LEFF was conceived in 2008 and formally established in 2011.

In the development, Qingdao LEFF gradually formed its own three major and unique business sectors:

1. Qualified supplier to the United Nations organization. Since 2015, Qingdao LEFF has been among the top Chinese suppliers to the United Nations each year, covering multiple industries such as medical equipment, cold chain, solar energy, and education. At the same time, it has been recognized for its high-quality services and reliable supply chain capabilities.

2. Successfully entered the medical cold chain industry and became a leader in the passive refrigeration. After several years of arduous research and development, Qingdao LEFF successfully developed the world's first freeze-protective vaccine cold box which obtained the WHO/PQS certification.

3. The important player in solar energy applications. The company has been committed to the development and promotion of green energy, especially to improve the plight of power applications in third world countries. Since 2016, the company has successfully developed solar lighting systems, home solar systems, and has successfully passed the LG(lighting global) certification.

LEFF has participated in many international tenders from UN agencies and governmental level tenders and has been awarded by many agencies like UNICEF, UNOPS, UNDP, UNFPA, UK aid, etc.
