About our activities in Asia, ICD opened its first office in China in 1976, establishing a footprint which has lasted and grown for over 50 years. International Chemical & Dye Corporation, Far East Limited (ICD Far East) now has extensive relations in Asia, particularly for chemical, metal, mineral, ferro alloy, commodity and fine chemicals products.

ICD Far East serves as the sourcing and commercial arm for ICD's activities in Asia, as well as managing all the Group's long-term business relationships. Through a multicultural and multilingual approach, ICD Far East has developed a comprehensive understanding of the petrochemical, metal, and mineral supply chains, and is especially active in China's import-export business. ICD Far East has fostered extensive connections in China in the petrochemical, metal, and mineral industries.

It began as a representative office in 2003, and ICD Far East is now operating as an independent subsidiary and was established at the end of 2019.
