Our factory is located in areas such as Guoyang (Anhui Province) and Pizhou (Jiangsu Province), facilitating easy access to fresh raw materials. Upon entering the factory premises, the first thing to notice is the large-scale preprocessing workshop: freshly harvested gongcai (dried mustard greens) undergoes manual sorting to remove old roots and yellow leaves, followed by thorough cleaning through a(water flow cleaning line) to ensure the removal of sediment and impurities. Subsequently, they are transported to the cutting workshop, where they are cut into uniform segments (e.g., 5-8 cm in length) to guarantee consistent product shape.
The core processing area is the dehydration and drying workshop. Depending on the technology adopted, a combination of natural sun-drying and hot air drying may be used. First, the gongcai is preliminarily dehydrated under sunlight to lock in nutrients, then transferred to constant-temperature drying equipment (with temperatures controlled between 40-60℃). Through precise control of time and temperature, uniform drying is achieved, preserving the crisp texture of gongcai while meeting the moisture standard for long-term storage (usually with a water content of less than 10%). Some factories may add blanching or desulfurization processes to enhance product color and safety.
Quality inspection runs through the entire process: when raw materials enter the factory, tests for pesticide residues and heavy metals are conducted; during processing, random samples are checked for moisture and impurity content; before final packaging, microbial(indicators) are tested to ensure compliance with food standards for both export and domestic sales. Qualified dried gongcai is sent to the packaging workshop, where it is divided into large bulk packages (for wholesalers) or small-sized vacuum packages (for retail) according to customer requirements. The packaging clearly indicates the production date, shelf life, quality inspection information, etc.
In addition, the factory is usually equipped with a standardized storage area, which uses a well-ventilated and moisture-proof environment to store finished products and prevent mildew. Some factories with stronger capabilities also have research and development laboratories, which are used to improve processing techniques and develop specialty dried gongcai products such as low-salt or organic varieties to meet diverse market demands. The overall production process not only reflects the practicality of agricultural product processing but also ensures product stability and safety through standardized management.
