International Logistics refers to a series of logistics activities such as warehousing, transportation, loading and unloading, handling, packaging, distribution processing, distribution and information processing between two or more countries (regions) to meet the needs of international trade and transnational production or consumption. It is the core link between global production and consumption, and it is also the "supply chain blood" for the efficient operation of the global economy. Compared with "domestic logistics" which is only carried out in a single country, the core difference of international logistics is that it needs to cross national borders, so it faces more complicated environment, rules and challenges, but its essential goal is the same-to realize the spatial transfer of goods with the lowest cost, the highest efficiency and the least risk. First, the core characteristics of international logistics The operation logic of international logistics is determined by its "transnational nature", showing the following four remarkable characteristics: Complexity far exceeds domestic logistics. Great environmental differences: It involves languages, cultures, laws (such as customs laws and tax laws), economic policies (such as trade barriers and subsidies) and infrastructure (such as port efficiency and railway coverage) of different countries, which makes communication and implementation more difficult. Long link chain: there are more than 10 links from the factory in the exporting country to the export declaration, international trunk transportation (such as sea and air), to the customs clearance in the importing country, warehousing and distribution, and finally to the end customers. Any delay in any link may lead to the overall time lag.
